Papa's Paris Tour
Paris is for lovers – of literature, music, dance, food, gardens, and anything beautiful. On our Papa's Paris Tour, we discover the places that Ernest Hemingway lived and frequented during his sojourns in Paris, and we meet some of the people that were so formative to his craft and life in the flesh: Gertrude Stein, and F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, not to mention Hem himself, all in their favorite "haunts!"
We enjoy delectable cuisines and beverages in restaurants personally taste tested by us, all with charming atmosphere and outstanding service.
We stay in a charming, local Mom-and-Pop hotel with a beautiful outdoor garden, where you can meet other travelers from Europe and beyond. All languages spoken here!
We view works by the artists who inspired Hemingway, including Cézanne, Manet, Monet, and Picasso, at the Musée d'Orsay, l'Orangerie, and the Picasso Museum. We even take a train ride into Normandy to visit Monet's house and garden in Giverny where we dine on Norman specialties and fizzy cider at a local inn. And we while away an afternoon at the races, as Hemingway so loved to do.
