Holiday Shopping Boutique at Lyndhurst
The 2017 Junior League of Westchester-on-Hudson Annual Holiday Boutique will be held under the tent and in the Carriage House at Lyndhurst. Over 55 vendors of unique and fine quality gift items will be participating. And for gift-giving inspiration, check out Lyndhurst mansion. Lyndhurst goes all out for the holidays, elaborately adorned with an over-the-top display of holiday ornaments that also pay homage to a real French duchess, Anna Gould, the Duchess of Talleyrand, the last owner of Lyndhurst.
TASH Holiday Market & Tree Lighting
The Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers’ Market comes back for one day in December with the TaSH Holiday Pop-Up Market before Tarrytown’s annual Tree Lighting. Choose from among the seasonal bounty including organic products, artisanal breads, picklelicious pickles, cider, cookies, farmhouse cheeses, and a wealth of other top-quality edibles for your holiday table. The grand finale is the lighting of Tarrytown’s own in-ground Christmas tree.
Dinner at Tarry Tavern
Nestled in the center of Historic Tarrytown’s Main Street, Tarry Tavern is the renewal of the classic American tavern. Elegant English red oak paneling, warm and butter-colored walls, and a richly lacquered bar welcome guests. The well-displayed plenitude of copper pots, farm field paintings, fresh fruits, and seasonal flower arrangements give Tarry Tavern the feel of a country farmhouse, albeit one that is sparkling, bright, and cheery. The menu showcases the bounty of the Hudson Valley, largely inspired by the seasons and local produce. Their selection of 12 draft brews, mostly craft and predominantly American, as well as their thorough wine list will be able to please even the most discerning palate.
